  • 1130   p4    Integrated Studies  –  Daryl – The students have been taking notes on an Australian bushranger.  They now have to prepare their palm cards as demonstrated by Ms Butler.  They have been told that if they haven’t got enough information  by now, then it is homework.
  •  1215   p5    Science – Light.  is a great source of energy.  Natural light comes from the sun.  The light from the sun is made up of different wave lengths, because light is a mixture of colours.  Refraction.  When light from the sun hits the Earth, some of the light is converted to heat energy, whilst other light simply bounces, or ‘refracts’, off objects, such as the ground and plants, and travels sideways.  That is why we can see in our class rooms on a sunny day.  In winter, when the light from the sun isn’t so bright, the amount of refraction is reduced, and so we often need to turn on our lights to see.  Sunlight is also refracted from the ocean, and it helps to light up the atmosphere above.
  • Literature – If time allows, I would like those students who have a copy of the ‘Hobbit’ to read as much as they can.  The others can read books of their own choice.  Alternatively they could work on their Book of Mark plays.
