  • 0940   p2    Science –  Photosynthesis is the process of plants creating food using energy from sunlight, nutrients from the soil, water and carbon-dioxide to create glucose (elementary sugar) to give energy to the plant.  The animals that feed on the plant transfer this energy into their bodies, and they are called ‘herbivores’.  The animals that feed on herbivores are called ‘carnivores’, and the energy stored in the herbivores transfers into the herbivores.  The energy created by photosynthesis in the plants passes from plants either directly or indirectly into all living creatures. The students may wish to watch the following video.
  • 1025   p3    Literature –    The students are to continue with their study of The Lion, the Witch and the WardrobeSpelling.  Some students may have missed writing their words into their diaries, because of the opera.  They can do so now if their is time.  Work in their spelling books can also be continued from yesterday.
