  • 1340   p6   Heritage –  Christian perspective of the Gold Rush.  Students will see that gold brought thousands of people to the gold fields, and along with it, lots of problems.  It was the Church, more than the government, who had the answers to helping to solve these problems, but our history down plays the role of the churches. The education system, for example, was begun by the Church, as were the hospitals and old peoples homes.
