.Learning Intentions for studentsa. Students are to copy their word list into their diaries ready for Friday’s test.
b. The students are to complete the worksheet designed to reinforce these words.
c. The students completing the advance words are to learn how to pronounce the list of words presented them
a. The students will be able to apply their spelling strategies to these lists of words, principally their ability to break words into syllables.
Classroom Activities to help Sudents Learn
Going through the word lists with the students, and pointing out salient features of the words, such as letter patterns and spelling rules. A worksheet will be given to the students to complete which should reinforce what they are learning.
Feedback to Students
Students to receive comments as I rove the room looking at their work. Later their work will be marked, and comments recorded.
Feedback from Students
The students are encouraged to aske for help and advice to improve their marks. They are also encouraged to point out areas where instructions weren’t clear, or activities could be improved.
Literature. The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, Chapters 2 and 3. Students are to complete the comprehension questions for chapter 2 and 3. They have the questions and have already completed Chapter 1.
Science (if there’s time left over) The students have studied Mars, and the a new rover is either landing on the Martian surface or has just landed. They can receive all the updates at this website:
